As mechanical sub-contractor to Selas-Linde GmbH for the construction of a tenth ethylene cracker furnace at INEOS Grangemouth Refinery, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, with Cambrian Fusion as their Welding Engineers, delivered a challenging scope of work which included the qualification of an extensive suite of 9CrMoV and austenitic stainless steel pipe welding procedures in accordance with ASME B31.3 and INEOS specifications.
Fabrication and construction of major components for a number of new marine defence platforms.

BP QUAD 204 Redevelopment Project - West of Shetland, UK Continental Shelf
Fabrication of 73 subsea structures for the BP Quad 204 Redevelopment. These included 44 process fluid handling structures (including manifolds, flowline and riser terminations, and subsea isolation valve structures), and 30 control distribution structures (including multiple assemblies and umbilical terminations), amounting to a total of 2,300 tonnes of fabrication.
Total – Ellon Grant Field Life Extension - Alwyn South Area, North Sea
Fabrication of two 160-tonne subsea manifold and ICM containment structures for the controls upgrade and life extension of Total’s North Sea Ellon Grant asset.
Cavendish Nuclear Ltd
As part of the MEH JV Alliance for NNB GenCo Ltd/EDF Energy, Cambrian Fusion undertook the development of weld procedure qualifications for the installation of the first twenty walled-in tanks designed to contain, store, distribute and prepare various fluids in support of reactor operations, including coolant, oil, effluents and additives, representing a critical part of the Hinkley Point C infrastructure.

BP Andrew Area Development - Central North Sea
Provision of fabrication, welding and materials engineering support to the BP Andrew Area Development Project for a new 700 tonne prefabricated Separation Module, new Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU), structural modifications, new topsides process pipework to allow integration of new and old systems, new riser caisson and umbilical at Andrew Platform.
Support at sub-contractor fabrication/construction facilities in Aberdeen.
PetroSA - Project Ikhwezi, Port Elizabeth and Mossel Bay, Republic of South Africa
37km x 12” API 5L X65 main flow line including 4Km high temperature section clad with 825 alloy, and 3” MEG line. Qualifications to DNV-OS-F101. Client Welding & Materials Engineer for PetroSA during weld procedure qualification, welder/welding operator performance qualifications by All-Seas (pipe-lay contractor), and subsea installation of first 4Km of high temperature main flow line/MEG line.

Manufacture of air separation unit (ASU), from 5000 series aluminium, generating 430 metric tonnes/day of liquid nitrogen and high-purity liquid argon.
